Libby Linford BSc (Hons), Dip ION, BANT, AFMCP, CNHC
Fully qualified and insured BANT registered nutritional therapy practitioner, registered nutritionist & functional medicine practitioner supporting those with chronic and complex health concerns, specifically autoimmunity and gastrointestinal ill health.
Hi, I’m Libby,
I help people with autoimmunity, unexplained illness, and chronic gastrointestinal health issues to transform their lives by taking control of their health. My approach blends nutritional therapy and functional medicine to support you in moving from a life restricted by unrelenting fatigue, pain, and anxiety to one where you can enjoy each day without limits.
As a fully qualified and insured BANT and CNCH -registered nutritional therapy practitioner, registered nutritionist, and functional medicine practitioner, I draw upon 15 years of education and clinical experience to promote wellbeing in those witch chronic and often complex health concerns.
My journey into the world of nutrition began with my own personal health challenges, which led me to explore natural approaches to wellness. Having gone through conventional medicine without finding answers, I discovered that the key to healing lies in food, lifestyle, and nurturing your whole body and being back to balance.
Graduating from the renowned Institute for Optimum Nutrition in 2013 with a Distinction and the prestigious Ian Marber (Food Doctor) award, I have over 12 years of experience working in clinical nutrition. I use a functional medicine approach to uncover the true underlying causes of health concerns and have since completed further functional medicine training through the Institute for Functional Medicine and the world-renowned Kharrazian Institute. I have undertaken many additional trainings and certifications in the specialist area of autoimmune disease.
I have a significant clinical interest in environmental medicine, which examines how our surroundings—such as chemicals and toxins in food, air, water, and our living and working spaces—affect our health. I work to support those suffering from environmentally-mediated conditions, including mold and chemical toxicity, which can contribute to chronic illness.
Having personally experienced the challenges of autoimmunity within my family, I have dedicated my practice to offering long-term transformative solutions for those facing autoimmune conditions. I deeply understand the frustration of searching endlessly for answers, feeling lost or hopeless without a clear direction towards health. But I also know that with the right combination of nutrition and lifestyle changes it is truly possible to regain vibrant health.
My approach is a fusion of nutrition and lifestyle medicine, systematically tailored to each individual. I combine an approach to support the biochemical, physiological end ecological determinants of health alongside a focus on the psychological and emotional to uncover and address root causes where others may not. If you’re ready to take control of your health and live the life you envision, I’m here to guide you on that journey.
